North Carolina State University Department of Nuclear Engineering has just posted a position for a post-doctoral research associate. See https://jobs.ncsu.edu/postings/3320.
The successful candidate will work with Prof. John Mattingly to develop a program of research and education in radiation detection applications to support the following nuclear security missions:
• Emergency response
• Consequence management
Specific areas of research will include development of new radiation detection systems and computational analysis of radiation measurements. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting and directing laboratory experiments, developing analysis methods to interpret experiments, publication of experimental and analytical findings, and guiding graduate student research.
If you have recently completed your Ph.D., or expect to complete your Ph.D. this semester, you are encouraged to apply for this job.
